Eugène Ionesco's major Absurdist work sees one man, Bérenger, astonished as one by one his friends and neighbours turn into rhinoceroses. This production by Paris's Théâtre de la Ville moves the action from a sleepy village to an eerie wasteland. It arrives in London following a sucessful tour of France and the USA, and plays as part of the Barbican's Dancing around Duchamp season of work by the great conceptual artist's precursors, collaborators and successors.
