The Balloon

The theatre hammered together from reclaimed wood in 2011 is still standing, two Empty Space Awards and two years later. It's most recent 2013 'collection', as the theatre bods call it (to most of us, a festival) features two shows a night from a series of emerging, distinct companies and theatre makers. The fourth week opens with Carolyn Derfin's 'The Balloon', set to an original score, which tells the story of a husband and wife trying to reach each other after a plane crash. The piece runs alongside 'Guinea Pigs on Trial' in the festival, called N.O.W. '14, and the price includes both evening shows.
