The opening event of the 2011 Greenwich and Docklands International Festival – this year dubbed 'Greenwich Fair' in honour of the notoriously rowdy gatherings of Victorian times – may potentially be its most spectacular. Wich some audacity, festival regulars Graeae will take to St Alfege Park to recreate Ted Hughes's beloved children's novel about a huge, silent metal man's inexplicable emergence from the sea.
