Tosca

Radical reworkings of Puccini seem to be in vogue at the moment (see also The Wedding Collective's 'Finding Butterfly' at Limehouse Town Hall). Here King's Head Theatre's Olivier Award-winning resident company, OperaUpClose, relocate 'Tosca' to the shadow of the Berlin Wall in the dying days of the East German Republic. With just four singers, a piano, clarinet and cello, it promises to be an intimate and stripped back take on this tale of love, lust and corrupting power.
