When We Are Married

Donmar boss Tim Sheader directs the first London revival in 15 years for JB Priestley’s comedy about a trio of self-important Yorkshire couples who stage a glitcy joint silver wedding anniversary only to discover to their horror that they haven’t been technically married any of this time. Rather different in tone to Priestley much better known An Inspector Calls, it’s a fun, lightly satirical drama with a fine comic cast headed by Siobhan Finneran, Samantha Spiro, Sophie Thompson and Marc Wootton.
