Fortnum & Mason's Pumpkin Carving Competition

Two pumpkin carving competitions to find the most ghoulishly chiselled gourd: points will be awarded for skill, scariness, creativity and luminosity. The first, for kids (3pm; age up to 10) takes place in the first floor demonstration kitchen, with a prize also for the best fancy dress. The adult competition (6pm age 11+) takes place in the ground floor Gallery Restaurant, with a Fortnum's Experience Package up for grabs. There's a carving area for last-minute alterations. Winning entries will feature in the Halloween window display. Participants must sign up in advance by ringing 0845 602 5694.
