This talk looks at the benefits of using a Human Rights based approach to caring for those with dementia and how this can empower staff who are faced with making difficult clinical decisions. Dr Sarah Butchard, a clinical psychologist whose interest lies in the impact receiving a dementia diagnosis has on an individual's wellbeing will be the guest speaker at the event which is organised but the Institute of Psychology, Health and Society.
