Time Out says

Originally the home of Shakespeare’s eldest daughter, Susanna, and her husband, Dr John Hall. The pair left behind a grand house with luxurious rooms and decoration. Set in beautiful gardens, complete with a herb garden – once used for Dr Hall’s remedies. Hall’s Croft run ‘Parlour Talks’ offering an insight into the life of its past residents, and there’s a café and a gift shop specialising in hand-made arts and crafts by local contemporary design-makers.
