The week-long festival of cultural, art and environmental activities and events returns for its seventh year, with a full programme that is mostly free (though some events require pre-booking tickets or purchased tickets, available from early May at the Cafe of Good Hope, Hither Green Lane or You Don't Buy Me Flowers on Staplehurst Road). Highlights include The Hither Green Bake-off (Sat 16), Open Gardens Sunday (Sun 17, 2-5pm), a screening of 'The Theory of Everything' (Thu 22, 8.30pm), guided historical walks (Sat 24- Sun 25 ) and a 'Grande Finale' event (Sun 24, 7.30pm) which will see live music followed by delicious cheese and wine.
