Inside Art – Creative Responses to the Collection by Young Offenders

Art created by young men detained in Feltham Young Offenders Institution. The 48 works in this exhibition are inspired by paintings, prints, sculptures and drawings in the National Gallery collection and were produced during the NG's outreach programme, Inside Art. Thirty men, aged between 15 and 21, completed the project, which is conducted by freelance artists who use reproductions of the originals as a starting point for discussion and related, practical techniques. Themes explored include the body, landscape, light and perspective.
