Dr Edward Daw gives a talk about LOFAR – a collection of thousands of ordinary dipole radio aerials located all over Northern Europe, which are hooked up to some far-from-ordinary electronics, connected via the internet to one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. Reservations are for friends of the RAS only; unreserved seats are available from 12.45pm on the day of the talk, on a first-come, first-served basis.
