[title]
This exhibition documents the work of the London Missionary Society between 1792 and 1825, charting the formation of the group and the subsequent 'success' they achieved in Polynesia while striving to spread the word of God as far as possible. Historic graphics and archives will be on display along with many objects which haven't been included within a public display since the 19th century. Expect to see idols and artefacts brought back by missionaries who ended up recording a great deal about Polynesian culture while trying to Christianise the islanders.
