Time Out says

Poet and train buff John Hegley has written a new poem to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Tube, which he reads during this late opening of the London Transport Museum. Poems on the Underground have been a feature on the Tubes for more than 25 years, and Hegley's ode reflects on the London Underground with its “gaps, the maps” and “billiard ball-bottomed straps”. The evening also features 'Betjeman’s London', the former poet laureate’s London poems, set to music performed by the Apollo Chamber Players; a screening of the iconic 1936 Southern Railways film 'The Way to the Sea', with words by W H Auden and music by Benjamin Britten; and archive film clips of the early days of the Tube. Tickets include a drink after the performance.
