Pin the ruff on the Bard, cake decorating and pass the parcel are just some of the activities on offer at this open day to celebrate Shakespeare’s 450th birthday. The Globe’s exhibition space, dedicated to Shakespeare’s London, will be free to visit and there will also be a bouncy castle, face painting and Punch and Judy shows. The festivities culminate with performances on the theatre’s stage featuring theatre company School of Night, improvising around suggestions from the audience. The theatre is also offering standing yard tickets for 450 pence to anyone quoting ‘Birthday offer’ on the phone (Monday April 21-Sunday April 27).
