Thames Festival 2013: The Thames (from London Bridge, Arizona to Sheerness, Canada), Collaged Maps, 2013

British artist Layla Curtis uses the etymology of place names along the Thames and their global namesakes, along with sea charts and maps, to create an alternative map of the river mounted on boards along the river's banks, at Riverside walkways by the London Studios, west of Oxo Tower Wharf, SE1 9PH; in front of Tate Modern, SE1 9TG, and by Tower Bridge, SE1 2UP.
