When Miles Davis' addiction and illness started to have an impact on his trumpet-playing career in the 1980s he picked up a paintbrush and began expressing his creativity through art instead. This selling exhibition features the only major existing collection of the jazz legend’s artworks. High-profile owners of Davis's work include Diana Ross, Sting and Phil Collins and this show of 56 pieces including drawings and paintings will appeal to music fans and art lovers alike. The exhibition can be viewed by all Royal Albert Hall ticket holders and anyone is welcome to drop in from 10am-4pm on Sunday June 14, Sunday June 21 and Saturday June 27. A special late night jazz concert ‘Rebop: The Music of Miles Davis’ will take place in the Elgar Room on Thursday June 4, 9.45pm (£12).
