Time Out says

Tucked away in an unassuming building opposite Liverpool Street Station, the Bishopsgate Institute prides itself on documenting undercelebrated histories within its vast and diverse archives. As well as substantial collections of queer and trans cultural artefacts, protest paraphernalia and ordinary peoples’ diaries, it has amassed a huge archive documenting and celebrating the heritage of the leather, rubber, kink, BDSM and fetish community in the UK, from Tom of Finland’s early work in US magazine ‘Physique Pictorial’ to the photography of contemporary British artists like Anna Sampson and Natalie Lambert. Drop into the Bishopsgate library during this open day to explore magazines, pamphlets, posters, clothing and ephemera from the fascinating collection at your own pace.
