Time Out says

Dr Joshua Howe (Reed College, USA) looks at the history, science and politics of global warming in this free lecture, using historical (and often tragic) context to illustrate modern society's failure to do something about it. Find out how the best efforts of scientists and environmentalists to shape global warming policy may well have been the very barrier to implementing solutions due to the complex politics surrounding the issue, and hear a respons to the talk from Dr Vladimir Jankovic, historian of science at the University of Manchester. A wine reception will follow. Tickets are free but should be reserved in advance.
