Time Out says

Does work shape you or do you shape work? Does the eight-hour day still exist? Did you check your phone for work messages before getting out of bed? At this symposium, book launch and screening organised by the Royal College of Art (RCA) in collaboration with FACT workplace experts, artists, designers and researchers will take a long hard look at the world of work. From 5.30pm to 6.30pm Liverpool University Press launches new publication ‘Time & Motion: Redefining Working Life’ edited by Emily Gee and Jeremy Myerson. At 6.30pm there’s a screening of ‘The Big Melt – How Steel Made Us Hard’ directed by Martin Wallace and Jarvis Cocker, followed by a Q&A with Wallace. Admission is free but places must be booked in advance.
