Set off on a Swedish culinary exploration at Aveqia, a Swedish restaurant that opened in Farringdon last year. TV chef Gizzi Erskine (accompanied by three other chefs) will host cooking classes (Nov 21-22), teaching participants how to make trianga smoked char from Jämtland, tartar of fresh langustines and oysters from Sweden’s West Coast and caramelized apples with salted caramel. Then on Nov 23, the 2010 winner of the 'Great British Bake Off', Edd Kimber leads a baking class centred around the Swedish tradition of Fika – a kind of coffee break in Sweden that involves either cinnamon rolls, biscuits, fruit or smörgås (open sandwich).
