It’s so easy to get lost in screens these days. But to help you detach from the various devices dictating your life, Polaroid hosted the Polaroid Analogue Experience, a series of city activations and pop-ups that took place in Paris, Tokyo, and most recently, London.

What if you got the opportunity to capture memories that stand out and, crucially, without your phone? Well, that’s exactly what happened here. And we’ve got the pics to prove it.

Participants were asked to ditch their phones (they were literally locked away) before picking up a pack of Polaroid i-Type Film, unlocking a Polaroid Flip, and setting out to explore the city through an analogue lens (and on analogue legs).

As you can see, Polaroid's expert guides took participants through the city, as they explored every detail in its screen-free analogue glory. As a result, they captured memorable moments that felt slower and more intentional thanks to their detachment from the digital sphere.

Polaroid reckons that the eight pictures in your free pack will connect you more to life than the 800 pics on your phone that you’ll never look at again. And given the sheer joy felt by those who kept their phones (and doomscrolling) locked away, you can agree they’ve got a fair argument.

In fact, over 900 tours were booked across the Polaroid Analogue Experience, and lots of new budding instant photographers were made in London, Paris and Tokyo.

If you feel like you missed out? Fear not, you can experience the joy of really going offline with the Polaroid Flip. That means you can pack up your camera, gather your mates and head to parts of London that really help you switch off from the surrounding world. Kew Gardens? Little Venice? Barbican Conservatory? You’d be amazed by the details you’ll discover.

The Polaroid Flip is available to buy now.
