Verden for delicious, well-priced wine and cheese and classy brunch; Shane's on Chatsworth Road for well-priced, seasonal British cuisine with a big focus on game; London Borough of Jam for all the loveliest pickles, preserves and nice foodie things; Doree for delicious croissants and pastries and French style breakfasts; Triangle Store for perfectly selected mid-century and modern homewares and furniture. What connects all these - and more! - great businesses is the real, genuine sense of community in Clapton. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming and you're always bumping into someone you know out and about.

Raygun comics is a nice new addition, for food we have two excellent pizza places with yard sale and sodo. Pubwise I like the crooked billet and biddle brothers, both unique with great staff and good pub vibes.

Clapton Pond! Running round Milfields Park (1km square). Palm 2 supermarket - suitably weird with a coffee hatch, fresh pastries, delicious spanakopita and a good selection of booze including a chilled cabinet of champagne. Gentrification you say?
