If your "fuck yeah" attitude doesn't come with a matching music festival this weekend, fear not. For Angelenos not attending FYF 2016, we've put together a list of some pretty awesome stuff happening across the city that won't cost too much and will definitely make you forget your FOMO. Enjoy!

Clear the Nursery
Saturday, 9am

Hanging with teeny tiny kittens definitely beats hanging out with huge, drunk crowds. Help Best Friends Animal Society foster newborn kittens until they're ready to be adopted (once they reach two pounds). You could even end up taking one home for good.

Shop Summer Daze
Saturday, 11am

If you'd rather shop than dance 'til you drop, Jill Aiko Yee is hosting an open studio and DIY workshop in her Downtown studio where you can drink and eat while shopping from local artists and designers.

Me-om: Yoga With Adoptable Cats
Saturday, 11am

Sure, dancing to a live set is good exercise, but the cute factor is nil compared to yoga with cats, a 45-minute beginner session during which adoptable cats will have the run of the room.

Bites & Brews
Saturday, 2pm

For $35 (way less than an FYF day pass), enjoy an afternoon of local beers and Wolfgang Puck-created food pairings at Golden Road Brewery.

Beer and Bacon Festival
Saturday, 5pm

FYF will definitely have beer... but will it have bacon? Not nearly as much as you'll find at this San Pedro fest next to the Battleship Iowa.

Old Glory book release party
Saturday, 7pm

If folky country is more your speed than indie rock, head to this book release party (for a tome showcasing a selection of 50 unseen reproductions of alternative United States flag designs submitted to President Eisenhower between 1958 and 1959) and hear country crooner Austin McCutchen play a live set.

Honey Pot
Saturday, 9pm

Get down with your gals at this monthly queer dance party, complete with on-display dancers, live painting and more enticing entertainment. Way sexier than any FYF stage.

Art + Technology Lab: Hereafter Institute Consultation
Saturday and Sunday, 10am

Plan your digital afterlife—we swear, it's less morbid than it sounds—at a private consultation with the Hereafter Institute—definitely more existential than anything you'll find at a music festival, if that's your bag.

Ladies and Gentlemen... the Beatles
Saturday and Sunday

Can any FYF band hold a candle to John, Paul, George and Ringo?  Check out this Grammy Museum exhibit featuring recordings, videos, photos and more than 400 pieces of Beatlemania memorabilia.

Last chance: Made in LA
Saturday and Sunday

This weekend is your last chance to check out the third in an ongoing series of biennial exhibitions that focuses on work created by 26 emerging and under-recognized LA artists. That's more LA artists than FYF boasts, for the record!
