6 delicious fried chicken nights in LA

There are restaurants you go to specifically for fried chicken—maybe in sandwich form, maybe not—and there are places where fried chicken might be the last thing on your mind. These restaurants encompass both, but they all offer fantastic fried chicken specials one night a week (usually Mondays), where you can feel confident ignoring the rest of the menu and instead tuck into a big plate of crispy bird. The following six spots may not serve the good stuff every night of the week, but when they do, it's well worth it.

Bouchon Bistro: Thomas Keller's famed Beverly Hills restaurant offers a fried chicken dinner every Monday. It's pricey, sure—$38 per person—but if you're willing to splurge on the comfort food, you won't regret it here: Ad Hoc fried chicken is served with roasted sweet potatoes, braised collared greens, cornbread and honey butter.

The Bellwether: This Studio City newcomer just launched its own fried chicken night, held every Monday. What's on the menu? Half of a fried Mary's chicken, homemade hot sauce, chow chow slaw and Mama's Little Yella Pils, all for $18. If that sounds like a daunting task, you can also just order the chicken à la carte for $15.

The Churchill: Held every Friday night starting at 4pm and until they run out, the Churchill offers a few fried chicken options. For large groups, order the family-style option for $25, which comes with an entire chicken and two sides. To scale it down, you can order three pieces of chicken for $8, along with items like mashed potatoes, green beans and biscuits for $5-$8 each.

Farmshop: Head to the Brentwood Country Mart on Sundays for chef Jeff Cerciello's beautiful fried chicken dinner, a Jidori beauty complete with sides that change depending on what's in season. It's $48 per person, so save it for a date night or special occasion.

Ledlow: Mondays are for fried chicken at Ledlow, where chef Josef Centeno's golden birds are crispy and juicy all at once. It's $35 for a half chicken with biscuits, potato salad and coleslaw, but tack on $15 per person and it becomes AYCE. Yeah. Unlimited fried chicken. Chew on that.

The Larder at Burton Way: Sweet-tea brined chicken and a bevy of sides (think cornbread, slaw and kale) are offered every Thursday at this popular Westside spot, where you'll only have to pony up $22.95 for the filling meal.
