It's been a great year for craft beer in L.A., no more evident than in the spate of new breweries that have popped up in and around the Downtown Arts District. Now home to seven craft breweries, the neighborhood is a sudsy haven for drinking. So why not throw a party?

On October 16 from 1-5pm, DTLA Breweries United Fest (hosted by DTLA Breweries United) will celebrate the Arts District's badass beer makers and drinkers with a block party, held in the triangle lot right outside of Angel City Brewery. For $45, your ticket will snag you selections of local beers, including Mulholland's Stash Barleywine from Iron Triangle Brewing, Parasol Pink from Dry River Brewing, Jameson Ale from Angel City Brewery and a tart saison from Indie Brewing Co. There will also be special releases and favorite standbys from Mumford Brewing, Arts District Brewing and Boomtown Brewery.

But the Arts District isn't just a hotbed of breweries—the spirits scene is steadily growing, too, and both the Spirit Guild and Green Bar Distillery will be offering tastes of their products at the fest, including gin, vodka, tequila, rum and bitters. Kombucha and pressed juice will be provided by the Springs LA, while tacos will come courtesy of the Downtown Taco.

Only 150 tickets are available, so snag 'em while you can—plus, the event benefits Keep a Breast, an organization that empowers women with breast health education and support. Who can say no to drinking for a good cause?
