Bon Appétit released a list of 50 finalists today for their annual America's Best New Restaurants awards, and lo and behold, five LA spots made an appearance in the West Coast category. Everyone have their Open Table tabs at the ready?

Some of the restaurants nominated were shoo-ins: Cassia, Trois Familia and Baroo have all received some pretty notable nods this year, including spots on the 2016 James Beard Awards semifinalist list—Cassia and Baroo for Best New Restaurant, Ludo Lefebvre at Trois Mec for Best Chef (West). The two other picks were a little more alternative: RiceBar and Winsome. The former, a tiny Filipino eatery in Downtown, has received plenty of local acclaim but is not as nationally known; while Winsome is still relatively new to LA (the Echo Park eatery is launching dinner this Thursday).

You can check out the magazine's full list of 50 finalists here. In the meantime, you should probably get on those reservations.

Do you agree with Bon Appétit's picks? Any other spots they should have nominated instead? Let us know in the comments below!
