Everybody seems to cart out their own take on a margarita for Cinco de Mayo. But a margarita-flavored donut? Now that has our attention.
For one day only this week, new donut hotspot Astro Doughnut & Fried Chicken will be serving a Strawberry Margarita Doughnut, a special flavor made especially for Cinco de Mayo. The creation will feature a strawberry margarita glaze that consists of tequila and triple sec; then it's sprinkled with rock sugar and candied lime wedge.
Astro opened in Downtown Los Angeles about a month ago and we've raved plenty about their delicious treats, especially their Crème Brûlée Doughnut. Cutting down on sugar? You can also order their juicy fried chicken with some tater tots on the side. Or you could go all out and get their famous Fried Chicken Doughnut Sandwich.
The Strawberry Margarita Doughnuts will be served this Friday, May 5 only for $3.10. Astro Doughnut & Fried Chicken is located at 516 West 6th Street, and is open from 7:30am to 5pm.
