The Cafe Gratitude family is expanding with the arrival of a fancy new sister restaurant, Gratitude. Sure to be the hottest thing hitting the vegan dining scene, Gratitude aims to be a more upscale—perhaps even date-night-worthy—take on the mini-chain’s classic model.

This Beverly Hills outpost will be the second under the Gratitude moniker; the first launched in Newport Beach last year. Most dishes will be newly created by Executive Chef Drex Ellis, though several favorites from the Cafe Gratitude menu will be spotted coming out of Gratitude’s all plant-based and organic-certified kitchen as well, including the I Am Liberated Pad Thai Kelp Noodles and Elated Enchiladas.

On the cocktail front, Gratitude will be bringing in some talent from the group’s Mexican dining branch, Gracias Madre, in the form of Beverage Director Jason Eisner. The wellness-minded drinks list includes his creations like the Cleansetini, featuring alkaline vodka, turmeric, ginger, cayenne, maple and water that we’re told has been “micro-filtered,” and the Spa Water, which mixes green cholorphyll espuma with gin, mint, absinthe, lime and sparkling wine. Naturally, the housemade Gratitude Kombucha appears in several spots on the bar menu as well.

If you’re a fan of the look of Gracias Madre in West Hollywood or the Arts District location of Cafe Gratitude, expect to feel at home in this stylish new space, which was kitted out by the same design team behind those Instagram-worthy spots. Does Gratitude have a gorgeous dining patio with tastefully swaying olive branches? Of course it does.

Gratitude is located at 419 North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. It opens on Wednesday, May 24, with daily hours of 11am to 10pm.
