Friday

Answer the call of the wild without trekking into the woods as NerdMelt presents Art for Wolves. Scope out wolf-inspired works from Mike Judge, Martin Starr, Thank You X and more. Proceeds benefit Wolf Connection, a youth empowerment program and wolfdog rescue center.

Make your way to the Wiltern for an evening of cartoons come to life at Bob's Burgers Live. The animated show's core cast—H. Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz, John Roberts and Larry Murphy—will join creator Loren Bouchard for stand-up, a table read and a Q&A.

Saturday

Start your Saturday shopping in the West Hollywood Design District during A Street Af(fair). Peruse this outdoor marketplace, reminiscent of classic European street fairs, with vendors from the East and West sides offering locally made, design-minded wares, plus music, libations and food.

Discover the burgeoning art scene hidden behind some historic bungalows with a West Adams Art Tour. Design East of La Brea (de LaB) will guide guests through five galleries and private artist’s studios to meet the people living and working in the up-and-coming neighborhood.

Celebrate indie bookstores with exclusive releases from Neil Gaiman and Anthony Bourdain during Independent Bookstore Day. Head to some of our local favorites to catch special in-store appearances, like Charlene Yi at Skylight Books and Cameron Diaz at Vroman's Bookstore.

In keeping with an artsy afternoon, scope out photos from up-and-coming artists at Raleigh Studios during Photo Independent. This annual art fair provides a platform for independent and emerging photographers to showcase their imagery to the public.

Make it a late night at the Roxy in West Hollywood for Midnight Merriment with Ron Funches. The stand-up's sweet, soft, hypnotizing voice punctuates each line in his deliberate performances; Natasha Leggero, Chris D’Elia, Moshe Kasher and Marcella Arguello will all guest on the show.

Sunday

Get out a bow tie and suspenders, and pull together a parasol and pearls for Dapper Day at Disneyland. This old timey event hosts a fashion expo at the Disneyland Hotel, as well as a meet-up at Disneyland itself—where the afternoon can move from cutesy to overcrowded real quickly.

Back in LA, give in to your bacon cravings at the annual LA Bacon Festival. Sample inventive dishes, drink unlimited beer and bare your pork belly in a custom photo at LA Center Studios.

If you're still hungry, head to the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens for Taste of the Eastside. Fill up on food and drinks from over two dozen vendors based in Silver Lake, Atwater Village, Echo Park and beyond.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ramones' debut album at Gabba Gabba Hey, an exhibition at the Sunset Marquis' Morrison Hotel Gallery featuring classic photos taken by the likes of Bob Gruen and Mick Rock.

Close out your weekend at the Regent Theater to celebrate the life of the late Mexican megastar with a screening of Selena. Show up early for a dance party and ruffly costume contest before the Jennifer Lopez-starring biopic.
