Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

A sleek, modern take on the chain hotel, the Beverly Hills Marriott offers all the expected amenities as well as a few upgrades like waterfall showers, craft cocktails and a killer pool.

Inside the sprawling white Beverly Hills Marriot, you’ll find all the usual amenities with a touch of SoCal glamour. The vibe is clean and modern, with steel, leather and marble finishes. Stray beyond the spacious lobby and you’ll find all the standard in-room amenities—flat screen TVs, coffee and tea service and continental breakfast. Bedrooms also boast platform beds, work desks and granite bathrooms featuring waterfall showers. If you’re traveling for business, the hotel has several business amenities, including a work center and copy, fax, and overnight delivery services. Post up in the Greatroom for after-hours assignments, where you can pair free wifi with a craft cocktail; then when you’re off the clock, let off some steam in the weight room or treat yourself to poolside mojitos. The heated outdoor pool also features a fireplace for notoriously chilly L.A. nights. While the location isn’t entirely walkable, the best of Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Century City are minutes away via car.

Location: Situated on the cusp of Century City in Beverly Hills, travelers are close to ritzy Rodeo Drive as well as more modest Westside shopping, parks and dining. While the neighborhood isn’t wildly walkable (hey, that’s L.A. for you), Beverly Hills shopping and West Hollywood nightlife is a short Uber away.

Nearby:

Getty Center: This hillside museum is as famous for its architecture as it is the art inside; marvel at the clean, geometric buildings, take in the views of the city and relax in the impeccably curated gardens between galleries.

Go Greek Yogurt: Is there anything more quintessentially West Los Angeles than fro-yo? Go Greek is the best of the best—the Rodeo Drive-adjacent “yogurteria” offers fresh local toppings like berries, honey and even savory imported feta cheese.

Spago: The flavors of California, Southern Europe and Japan mingle at this famed Beverly Hills eatery. If you hand handle the hefty price tag, the California tasting menus offer expertly prepared renditions of local, seasonal ingredients.

Spa Montage: Upgrade your vacay with this underground spa paradise, featuring 17 treatment rooms and a communal mineral pool in an opulent, Moorish-inspired space.

Good for: The Beverly Hills Marriott’s many business amenities make it optimal for work trips, while the hotel’s pool and proximity to some of L.A.’s most famous neighborhoods make it a decent spot for a cheaper-than- the-rest- of-Beverly- Hills weekend getaway.

Amenities: Pool, room service, free wifi, minibar, restaurant, bar, gym

Time Out tip: Don’t be afraid to venture beyond Beverly Hills. While the famed neighborhood is certainly a sight to behold—even the fire hydrants are silver—most locals stick to West Hollywood.
