We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city’s best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Don your best Christmas sweater at Union Station’s Cocoa Concert Series as the majestic south patio will be transformed into a hub of holiday entertainment. Tonight’s performance includes La Picante hosting “A Very Salsa Christmas.”

Head to Largo for Jon Brion’s monthly residency. The Eternal Sunshine composer plays a couple of his film compositions along with a bunch of covers—plus, you never know when Aimee Mann or Fiona Apple will show up for a guest spot.

Alternatively, catch Jhené Aiko at the Novo as the R&B, neo-soul singer performs with Willow Smith, Kitty Cash and Kodie Shane.

Saturday

Grab a personal pie from a renowned New York pizzeria during the final day of the Roberta’s Pizza Pop-Up. You’ll find the pop-up all day at Hayden, the wine bar at Culver City’s Platform.

Listen to a set from the Growlers at the Wiltern as the beloved O.C. surf punk slackers cap off their two-night Snow Ball.

Head to the Groundlings Theatre for the late presentation of the Groundlings Holiday Show. The legendary comedy theater stages a festive, holiday-themed night of sketches and improv.

Sunday

Since it’s Christmas Eve today, you won’t find much activity around the city. If you’re too restless to relax, go for a glide around an ice skating rink or scope out some dazzling Christmas lights.

Gather up your friends and family to hear more than 20 choirs, music ensembles and dance troupes from all over the city at the L.A. County Holiday Celebration. Guests are encouraged to come and go as they please throughout the three-hour show at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

If you’re not into the whole Christmas thing, swing by the nation’s biggest Jewish singles event, the MatzoBall, during which the revelry at the Spare Room will extend well past midnight.
