What's better than one creative chef? Answer: four of them. E.P./L.P.'s new head chef, Sabel Braganza, is opening up the kitchen of one of WeHo's top restaurants and letting a few of her friends cook up an eight-course family-style feast for your pleasure.
Of course these friends aren't just some casual cooks—they happen to be some of the best chefs in the city, and on December 2, they're whipping up a modern-Asian meal for the ages. Joining Braganza is Mei Lin of Nightshade and Top Chef fame; James Beard Award semifinalist and Kato star Jon Yao; and Zen Ong, a former E.P./L.P. chef himself and the force behind Inda, one of our favorite pop-ups in the city.
Expect eight courses of vibrant plates that play on the flavors of the Philippines, Taiwan, China, Indonesia and beyond, with dishes such as enoki mushroom dan dan; lobster with head butter and ginger; grilled striped bass with sweet potato; kare kare; and for dessert, halo halo.
Tickets run $68 per guest, with seatings available between 6 and 8pm. We recommend you bring a few of your own friends, for a full-circle friends-and-friends evening.
