Where to buy Christmas trees in Los Angeles

This family-owned holiday boutique has been selling Christmas trees to its Los Angeles and Beverly Hills clientele since 1986. You’ll find firs between 3 and 18 feet at Mr. Greentrees (even larger trees are available by special order), as well as handmade garlands, wreaths and a curated selection of ornaments at this celebrity-frequented lot. Much like its Halloween-time Tina’s Pumpkin Patch, this friendly lot packs its fresh inventory underneath a vast tent outside Westfield Fashion Square, with a second location in Calabasas. You’ll find the usual assortment of firs in addition to the tall and skinny silvertip. Stock up on wreaths and garlands while you’re there. Shortly after Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch closes, another seasonal delight sprouts up: Shawn’s Christmas Trees. Offering a selection of trees both tabletop size (2 feet) and fit for your living room (up to 13 feet), this lot brings in its evergreens all the way from the Oregon mountains. For those on the Westside, you can have your selection delivered right to your doorstep.

Shop a selection of trees ranging from 2 to 20 feet—you can even peruse the inventory online—at these six Christmas tree lots spread across SoCal. Mr. Jingles offers online ordering and pickup, and you can also schedule a delivery and have the tree set up for you. After the holidays, they can even dispose of it for you through a third-party service (though both that and delivery cost an extra fee). This year, look out for a collaboration between Mr. Jingles and Disney+’s A Very Jonas Christmas Movie—think themed photo ops, ornaments and delivery trucks.

This spacious, Valley-based lot offers up a variety of Christmas trees, ranging from small tabletop trees to grand, stately firs. Santa & Sons, a family-owned company operating for over 35 years from its environmentally certified Oregon tree farm, will help you load and secure your tree onto your car for free. And this year, to celebrate 25 years of popping up at Los Angeles Valley College, they’re offering free local delivery within a certain radius (offer is online-only).

This idyllic Irvine hillside farm is open year-round, and come Christmastime it carries an assortment of trees, from 3-foot tabletop options to 14-footers. Tanaka Farms also offers add-on services like tree stand installation, flocking and fire retardant for your trees. Make a whole day of it with an evening visit to Hikari, the farm’s walk-through light festival that runs through December 28.

The Boy Scouts of Santa Monica’s Troop 2 have been selling Christmas trees for over 50 years now, and this year they’ve set up shop at a new location on Pico. Shop fresh Noble and Douglas firs from Oregon ranging from 3 to 12 feet tall. Scouts will be on hand to help on the weekends, as well as after 4pm on weekdays (you know, after school lets out). Also on offer are fresh wreaths, garlands, decorative reindeer and gnomes, and even live music. Delivery is available, too.

All of the proceeds from this North Hollywood church-run lot support a handful of charities, including programs dedicated to the homeless, rescued animals and disaster relief.
