These are weird times we’re living in. Restaurants are delivering booze, grocery stores are buzzy hot spots and people are actually looking forward to exercising if only to have a reason to get the hell outside for a few minutes (safely, of course). Another sign of the times: Miami’s fine-dining restaurants are finally offering takeout and, in some cases, delivery. It may have taken a worldwide crisis to make it happen, but now we can finally bring home our favorite gourmet pastas, rib eyes and everything else.

We understand that part of the appeal of fine-dining is the experience—white tablecloths, excellent chefs and high-class service—but there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy these things at home. Whether for your date night or to treat yourself after a week of home-cooked meals, look no further than to these Miami fine-dining restaurants for a fancy night in.


The wind-down spot for most trips to the Bal Harbour Shops, Carpaccio is giving diners a taste of the chic bistro life at home. Take home a selection of the restaurant’s most popular Italian dishes, from chicken parm to mushroom risotto to its namesake filet mignon starter—which is spectacular. They’re offering contactless pickup as well as wines to-go. This might be your most affordable trip to the high-end mall yet. Call to order: 305-867-7777.

LPM Restaurant

This beloved EAT List entry finally reopens for pickup and limited takeout (within a two-mile radius, for now). LPM is going the extra step to ensure diners bring the restaurant experience home, sending folks off with a curated Spotify playlist of songs they’d hear during regular service, packing meals in totes handpainted by their thoughtful servers and offering individually batched cocktails to-go—garnishes and all. Perhaps the most charming touch of all is the complimentary inclusion of fresh tomatoes, lemons and a baguette, LPM’s signature table decór. Call to order: 305-403-9133.

Chef Brad Kilgore’s Wynwood restaurant is known for its extravagant tasting menus executed with molecular gastronomy techniques and the like, but he’s reining it in for his temporary pop-up, AlterQ. It’s still his cooking and it’s still excellent, only this menu is a la carte and way more affordable. He’s also doing cocktails to-go so there’s really no reason to lift a finger once you’ve brought your dinner home.

Stubborn Seed

Another hotbed for tasting menus, this South of Fifth restaurant doles out contemporary American fare with flair. The truffle potatoes and the duck and herb pappardelle pasta will distract you from your sad pajama-wearing life, while the cookie flights (yes, a flight of desserts!) will jolt you back to happiness. We can’t guarantee you’ll get the same Instagram-quality presentations, but you can certainly expect all of the incredible flavors to make it home with you intact. 


The Coral Gables outpost of D.C’s popular, Michelin-starred restaurant is fancy with a capital “f.” But they can still get down with specialty to-go containers—all very elegant, of course. Weekly specials include Tuesday’s spaghetti and meatballs with a garden salad and Wednesday’s roasted chicken, both of which feed two people and will run you $55. Order up your favorite kinds of pasta, salads and that delectable branzino everybody loves and pick it up curbside at the restaurant’s side entrance to enjoy at home.

The Surf Club

Get James Beard-quality eats at home. For the first time ever, Thomas Keller’s Surf Club offers takeout on a select menu of items. While there’s no chance you’re getting the massive beef wellington for pick-up, the restaurant is offering a daily three-course meal for $29 that features a starter (typically a soup or salad) a main (like classic bolognese lasagna) and dessert (typically some sort of fresh-baked cookies). The new menus are posted every day on Instagram and orders can be placed online or over the phone (305-768-9440; press 3). Pick-ups are at the Surf Club’s north tower valet station.

Prime 112

It’s impossible to get into and once you do get reservations, there’s always a wait. But not anymore. Prime 112 can now be enjoyed stress-free and from the comfort of your own home. Get all the classics, like dry-aged filets and starchy sides (we love the hash browns, partly because they can be repurposed for breakfast) as well as dessert. You haven’t lived until you’ve had a Prime 112 oreo at home, in your pajamas. It doesn’t get more decadent. It’s also worth mentioning that Prime 112 is offering free delivery (within range) and that drop-off will be made by in-house employees in an effort to retain all staff members.

We’re all for supporting your neighborhood sushi joint (in fact, go now, order lunch!), but we’re also team treat yo’self, especially after a stifling week of WFH. That’s where Zuma comes in. Elevate your raw fish game with specialty rolls, robata-grilled items and the high-quality Japanese dishes you’ve come to know and expect from the restaurant. Mr Chow

Forget your usual Chinese takeout. Mr Chow is now available for pick-up! Make it a high-class night with dishes like the Beijing chicken, spare ribs, the signature noodles and more. Sake and champagne are also available for takeout if you really want to get bougie. You can order up on the apps for delivery too (Uber Eats, Postmates, Tock), but you’ll have to sacrifice the booze.

Casa Tua Miami Beach

Not to be confused with its more affordable food hall sibling, Casa Tua Cucina, the South Beach restaurant is offering a select menu of its Italian classics, plus a few new sandwiches and salads, for pick-up and delivery. Will dinner feel as romantic as dining in Casa Tua's courtyard? Probably not. Should you attempt to replicate the experience on your balcony anyway? Absolutely.
