Central Park Discovery Day

Ever wondered what it truly takes to maintain our beloved Central Park? Well the Central Park Conservancy is hosting a Discovery Day and inviting families to participate in a series of interactive workshops focused on ecology and park management. There will be live birds and invertebrates who’d love to make your acquaintenance, a chance to plant wildflowers and decorate flowerpots, design an urban park, go on a scavenger hunt, and check out the lawnmowers, carts and trash management systems that will give park goers a sense of what goes on behind the scenes. This who complete all the activities at each station will receive a free Discovery Journal! Events take place at the Arthur Ross Pinetum (mid-park between 84th and 86th Streets). All ages.
