New York International Children's Film Festival

This film fest for kiddos showcases approximately 100 features and shorts from around the globe each year, and rounds out the experience with retrospectives, interactive workshops and filmmaker Q&As for families. This year, don’t miss the Girls’ POV block with stories from the female perspective (March 5, 4pm; March 11, 1pm; March 18, 11:30am); the Swiss film Little Mountain Boy about a boy who finds himself going up against a wealthy and greedy merchant (March 11, 2:30pm; March 19, 12:30pm); travel through Tokyo with Rudolph the Black Cat as he tries to find his way back home to Gifu, Japan (March 5, 10:30am, March 19, 10:30am); and get into the party mood with Birthday Shorts (March 11, 10am). Though a jury determines which director takes home the grand prize and other esteemed awards, young audience members can cast their votes in various categories. Ages 3 to 18.
