A beard and mustache contest is coming to Coney Island this weekend

Things are about to get hairy at one of New York's best beaches.

This weekend, the Coney Island Beard and Moustache Competition returns for its 10th year, bringing with it a lineup of truly ridiculous facial hair. Taking place on Saturday, September 2, at Sideshows by the Seashore, the event is among the weirdest ways you can spend your Labor Day weekend in NYC.

If you think your 'stache or beard is the one to rule them all, you can enter the contest for a cool $20 starting at 6pm. The event itself kicks off at 8pm, and entry for spectators is also $20 (so if you're attending, you might as well participate). If you do intend on throwing your whiskers into the ring, be warned that the competition's contestants do not fuck around (you can find some photos from previous years here and here).  

Host Adam RealMan and a panel of judges will be sifting through all of the contestants' combed, trimmed and waxed adornments, crowning winners in nine different categories. Check out the full list below.

Man or Beast (Best Beard Natural)

Come Out To Play (Strongest Team Participation)

Carny Trash (Worst in Show)
