A crew of Latin-American chefs is taking over the Rockaway Taco space

Word of Rockaway Taco offshoot Tacoway Beach briefly soothed our sadness over the shuttering of the beloved Beach 96th Street taco shack, and this latest news is definitely helping to lessen our grief. On May 22nd, a team of local, Latin-focused chefs will be moving into the space for the season as part of the "Summer Shift" pop-up restaurant, including ice-cream whiz Nick Morgenstern (Morgenstern's Finest, El Rey) and Cómodo cohorts Felipe Donnelly and Carolina Santos Neves. The chefs are reportedly serving their a la carte dishes on weekdays from 11am to 8pm and weekends from 9am to 8pm. Check out the full lineup below:
