You had us at “free.” Summer may be coming to an end, but it’s not too late to catch a few flicks under the stars. Luckily, IFP (Independent Filmmaker Project) Film Week kicks off this Saturday with all sorts of fun, alfresco entertainment through the weekend and the beginning of next week.

Tomorrow night, shake your tail feather at The Archway (under the Manhattan Bridge) during a Tunnelvision: DUMBO dance party (4pm), followed by a screening of '80s classic Kush Groove (8:30pm).

On Tuesday 20, there will be a Lab Showcase at Brooklyn Bridge Park (8pm). You’ll get to see 20 new and exciting feature films before their festival premiere dates, and all you have to do is R.S.V.P. in advance.

We also recommend checking out LightYear 1.2.3, which is an art installation projected on the Manhattan Bridge underpass. Some of the artists involved were also participants for the New York Festival of Light, so you know it’s going to be a spectacular sight.

For the full festival lineup and more details on how to R.S.V.P. for showtimes and experiences, check out IFP’s website
