Fans of summer outdoor music concerts à la Mister Sunday and Warm Up at MoMA PS1 have a new series in town to get excited about. Knockdown Center, Queens's visually stunning 50,000-square-foot mega space, has teamed up with local promoters, musicians and DJs to bring you Overtime, a series of concerts in its outdoor space (known locally as "the ruins"). Expected to run on every Saturday through September 3 from 3–9pm, you can spend a post-brunch afternoon dancing to hip-hop, electronica, dancehall and everything in between. Along with the performances and DJ sets, look for outdoor artwork, visual projections, and food and drink vendors, making for a multi-disciplinary cultural experience.
