Check out this futuristic dance performance coming to the Guggenheim

On September 4, the Guggenheim kicks off its Works & Process Performing Arts Series with Falls the Shadow, a new 30-minute multimedia work made site-specifically for the museum's rotunda by Daniil Simkin, principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre (ABT). Featuring costumes by Dior, the piece boasts a production design that incorporates motion sensors to map real-time 3-D visuals onto the walls and floors of the space, creating a sleek, trippy experience that combines the latest in digital technology with music, art, fashion and choreography.

The event is two nights only (September 4 and 5) with tickets at $40. Check out a cool video of the piece above, and additional photos below.
