Domestic queen Martha Stewart is getting her own café in Chelsea

By Rheanna O'Neil Bellomo

Domestic queen and empire builder Martha Stewart is set to open her first café at her headquarters in Chelsea. There, the coffee and pastry shop will join the homemaker-turned-TV-toque's magazine, cooking gadget and crafting supply brands.

It's the first of Stewart’s brick-and-mortar food ventures and, while there is no slated opening date or menu as of yet, expect a gourmet coffee bar that looks fresh out of a Martha Stewart Living spread—or even her own home—with tiny white espresso cups, pristine pastries and a glass display filled with delicate macarons. Starrett-Lehigh Building, 601 W 26th St between Eleventh and Twelfth Aves

UPDATE: The coffee kiosk opened Thursday, March 5 with an exclusive "Martha's Blend" created in conjunction with Kobrick Coffee, plus pastries from Balthazar, Baked by Matt Lewis, Chikalicious and Bien Cuit. There's also a "Martha's Blend" black tea and a range of loose leaf varieties sourced from around the world. Hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm.
