Dominique Ansel brings Insta-famous treats from Tokyo to NYC for one weekend only

Today marks the fifth anniversary of Dominique Ansel's flagship Soho bakery and the pastry maestro is celebrating all weekend long. From Friday, November 4th through Sunday the 6th, Ansel will serve out-of-town specialties from his international locations: An Instagram-ready onigiri soft serve (featuring sweetened rice ice cream topped with puffed rice and served in a nori waffle cone) from his Omotesando outpost in Tokyo, and a banoffee pie–riffing sweet "paella" with caramelized bananas from the bakery's London location

Along with those specials, the bakery will also debut a new Blossoming Hot Chocolate on Friday (each cup is crowned with a marshmallow flower that "blooms" when it melts in the warm liquid), as well as birthday cake on Saturday.
