The Fashion Institute of Technology in Chelsea has just opened a show of cool couture called “Black Fashion Designers” that presents the creations of “designers of African descent.” Though FIT has previously mounted exhibits of individual black designers, this show covers a 60-year period and features items such as a 1960s Playboy Bunny outfit, Jackie Kennedy’s first wedding gown, and fashions created for First Lady Michelle Obama and Kim Kardashian. You can get out a few other examples below. The show is up through May 16.
