As if an enormous Mermaid Parade weren't enough action for one summer, Coney Island is stepping up their game with another festival of heavily sequined, colorful revelry. On Sunday, beauty brand Winky Lux presents the first-ever Unicorn Carnival at Greenwood Beach at Coney Art Walls, which features sickening performances, glitter makeovers and an unprecedented amount of lollipop-colored partying.

The party starts at noon, with an open "glitter bar" where you can get rainbow brows, metallic lips, purple contours and more. Some proceeds from the Glitter Bar will benefit local women's advocacy non-profit AWARE. At 1pm, "influencers" from the beauty industry will be on deck for a meet and greet, then a range of bubbly performers— including Are You the One's Tori Deal and dreamy chanteuses Baby Raptors and Miss Velvet—take the stage. If you're jonesing to show off your Chewbacca boots, bubblegum wig and Harley Quinn couture, then take a spin at 4pm when Lola Star's Dreamland Roller Disco takes over the dance floor.

The event is free, but those who opt in for the $15 VIP ticket will receive a guaranteed Glitter Bar makeover, entrance to the VIP area and a gift bag. Time Out readers (yes, that's you) can enter for one of thirty free VIP wristbands with the code TIMEOUT. You can RSVP here.
