In case you've been living under a rock, tomorrow is Macaron Day in NYC and to celebrate the sweet occasion, Christina Ha and Simon Tung are hosting 24 hours of Macaron Madness at their East Village bakery Macaron Parlour. From 8am Friday morning until 8am Saturday, the bakeshop will unveil a new macaron flavor every hour on the hour, including collaboration treats with Davey's Ice Cream, La Newyorkina and Jeff Bell of PDT.
Madness flavors will include a breakfast-worthy Apple Jacks variety with white-chocolate Apple-Jacks ganache, a Knicks-inspired "Carmelo" number with marshmallow fluff and dulce de leche buttercream, and a beer-spiked version with dark-chocolate ganache, a collaboration with Liddabit Sweets. Each patron will get a free macaron, but if you want to purchase more, 10% of sales will benefit City Harvest.
