Summer in NYC means humidity that’s as thick as soup and dreadfully hot train cars. So the perfect remedy to an NYC summer, is to hit up one of the many beaches in and around the city. But we all know how much of a pain it is to schlep all your beach gear on the train.

In comes Skedaddle.

This on-demand bus-polling app allows you to ride in style to select beaches for just a $1 on Saturdays. New Yorkers can get out of the city and hit up sandy stretches like Jones Beach, Point Pleasant, Long Beach, Atlantic Beach, Sandy Hook Beach and Robert Moses Beach. Pickups will happen at convenient locations around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Tickets are going fast so don’t wait too long! These dollar rides will be offered every Saturday through Labor Day weekend.

There is no word yet whether or not drinking is allowed on the bus.
