New York's "most exclusive" pizza is available by appointment only

New York is no stranger to pricey pizza—we are a city that's seen $2,000 pies topped with caviar, truffles, foie gras and 24-karat gold leaf, after all. So a $38 square pizza wouldn't exactly ruffle the feathers of a seasoned pizza lover, but a limited-edition pie that requires reserved seating and an online ticket purchase? Now that's new.

Meet the "DoughDici Experience": Available at Sofia Pizza Shoppe in Sutton Place, the pan pizza boasts a puffy crust made using imported flour and a 12-hour rise, which is then covered in hand-pulled mozzarella and fresh tomatoes. Along with two reserved seats and two complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, the six-slice product can be yours tonight—there are two 45-minute seatings available—by purchasing a ticket on Eventbrite.
