After MTA’s “summer of hell” scale-backs and the general disasters plaguing Penn Station this year, the team behind the Pennsy knew New York commuters were going to need a bigger bar.

While the food hall was recently renovated, the biggest change is the newly managed and enlarged bar. The hospitality team behind renowned Financial District cocktail den the Dead Rabbit oversees 48 taps of beer, cider and draft cocktails (dark and stormy, old-fashioned).

The barroom also moved from the back of the hall to the front, with a whopping 380 outdoor seats, full waitstaff service and eight bartenders working behind the counter.

In addition to the rejiggered bar, new vendors Taco Dumbo, Ribalta and Sabi Sushi are joining vets Pat LaFrieda, The Little Beet and Cinnamon Snail as food options.
