Roast free s’mores in Prospect Park next week

Everyone knows the best part of camping is the s’mores. And next week, you can go to Prospect Park to get all the chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers without any of the tents.

For National S’mores Day on Thursday, Tentrr (which is like Airbnb for camping) will be serving free s’mores near the park’s Bandshell from 5:30 to 7pm. And these aren’t your average s’mores: These are gourmet s’mores. Using chocolate from Fine & Raw in Williamsburg instead of boring old Hershey’s,  you can either grill your own dessert or have it grilled for you. (Told you this was a fancy event.)

You can also learn about Tentrr, which is seriously the easiest way for New Yorkers to go camping. The service will match you up with a campground near NYC, and it even supplies a tent and gear.
